Under this umbrella, the aim of the profile line is to foster the scientific strength of the Optics and Photonics sector focusing on the three domains Ultra Optics, Strong Field Physics and Biophotonics and to integrate research on Innovative Materials and Energy Storage and Conversion. Within the scope of this scientific background creating sustainable interdisciplinary links with the fields of biology and medicine will encourage fruitful cooperations within the University motto Light – Life – Liberty.
